The Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival: Juxtatonal and Friends

JUX presented the world premieres of 3 newly commissioned works by Michelle McQuade Dewhirst, Griffin Candey, and Robyn Jacob along with music by Tom Johnson, Amy Beth Kirsten, Steve Knell, and a self-composed piece by Juxtatonal. 

The Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival: Audio/Visual

This concert will showcased JUX and other Blackbird Creative Lab fellows including Nois and The Furies alongside Eighth Blackbird. JUX performed the world premiere of Danny Clay's Opposites with Eighth Blackbird's Matthew Duvall and Jocelyn performed Nina Shekhar's Food Fight with Nois's Hunter Bockes and Eighth Blackbird's Lisa Kaplan.

The Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival: Re-Generations

JUX performed Sarah Kirkland Snider's Chrysalis on a shared program with James Tocco, Leila Josefowicz, Philip Setzer, Lawrence Power, Paul Watkins, Eighth Blackbird, Ivalas Quartet, and the Thalea String Quartet at the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival.

The Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival: Sounds of Future Past

Juxtatonal performed #nofilter, a set of playfully quirky pieces with lyrics based on spam email texts, by Michelle McQuade Dewhirst on a shared program with the Callisto String Quartet and Eighth Blackbird at the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival.

Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Park with Eighth Blackbird

Juxtatonal and Nois were featured guests of the phenomenal ensemble, Eighth Blackbird, in Chicago performing works by Sarah Kirkland Snider and Griffin Candey.
